 Nationality:-
You must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National or a legal resident alien of the United States; if not, you must have an I-551 or G-845,
Age Limit: -
To seek enlistment into the Army or Army Reserve you must be 17 to the maximum age of 34.
Education Detail:-
you must meet education requirements in order to apply: applicants must be a High School Junior (for the Army Reserve), High School Senior or graduate, have a GED (limited by locations) or 15 credit hours from an accredited university or community college (with classes at or above the 100 level or if below the 100 level they must be going towards a degree producing program). You must pass the enlistment written test and enlistment physical examination;
Married Terms:-  
Married applicants cannot have more than 2 dependents under the age of 18 without requiring a waiver and single parents can only enlist into Army Reserve with up to 3 dependents.
Character:-
You cannot be undergoing or have any pending civil actions, as some law violations may be disqualifying.

The process of enlistment is as follows:


They will see a Recruiter and he/she will set up an appointment for them to take the Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test. Upon passing that test they will take a medical examination to determine their medical fitness for military service.

When Candidate have passed the physical they will speak to a Guidance Counselor who will help them choose their Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), or job that they will do in the Army. Their score on the ASVAB and job availability at the time of their enlistment will determine which MOS's they are eligible to choose from.

After they see the Guidance Counselor their contract will be written and they will swear in.

They will be given a ship date that will be determined by when training is available for their MOS. It may be from a few days to several months.
